Today’s gospel comes from Mark 1:9-15/Mark 1:12-15. In it, Mark gives a quick rundown of what’s been happening to Jesus. Most importantly, that he is the one that has come to fulfill God’s word of delivering to his people the one who would save them. With Jesus now ministering to the masses his message is simple “repent and believe.” He will set an example of how to live. If we read the scriptures, we will see the Son of God as a man who was wholly compassionate to all; sinners not excluded. And yet we hear him say this “repent and believe.” We can especially use this season of Lent to look inside ourselves and see where we can make some adjustments. Our lives as Christians do not have to be perfect in anyway; however, we should always be open to how God could be reshaping us for He knows our hearts. He wants us to live the best version of ourselves! And that my friends, is some very good news! Be sure to take a moment today and see what God might be saying to you and let us know how you #livemysunday on our social media pages.
